The Citizens Volunteer Council (CVC) spearheads year-round events, including annual fundraisers and Christmas gift drives, to benefit the individuals we serve. All proceeds from these initiatives directly support our mission.

Christmas Wish Lists

Annually, the CVC and the RGSC Community Relations department coordinate the collection and distribution of Christmas gifts, which are requested directly by RGSC clients.

This annual fundraiser is back! 2025 marked a comeback year for one of the CVC's most popular community events.

Run for Rio 5K Run/Walk

This annual 5K has seen a rapid increase in size and participation, providing a meaningful opportunity for individuals to advance their personal wellness and contribute to the healthcare of Rio Grande State Center clients.
